Why we believe - a catholic perspective
Marty MacFarlane & Samuel Clear have applied their engineering degrees to a mountain of research papers, physics proofs, medical analysis, and history, sorting the science from the scientism and the history from the mythology.
All of this is presented in an engaging, humorous, and factual manner, allowing schools space to grow in their Catholic identity.
Changing the culture in catholic schools
For years we’ve heard that ‘Science has proven that God does not exist,’ and yet, if we look directly at the wealth of available scientific literature whilst comparing this to the person of Jesus and his claims, the evidence for the existence of God begins to become overwhelmingly confronting. This is a professional development day that has taken 20 years of discussion and research to form.
For the disciples their faith was firmly grounded in a tangible, shared experience. The same is possible even in our generation by exploring the;
Historicity of Jesus;
Medical evidence of a Soul;
Scientific evidence of God from Astrophysics;
Scientific analysis of Marian Apparitions & the Shroud of Turin; and
Medical analysis of Eucharistic miracles
Presented in an engaging, concise, realistic, and interactive manner. An enjoyable day filled with awe and wonder!
‘Why we believe - a Catholic perspective’ has the ability to genuinely change the culture within our schools.
It firmly establishes the reason behind what we do.
“This series was incredible. It had so many facts & hard evidence for faith that any body can hear. Even for my brother who is an archaeologist, and studied mythology & anthropology, I need this stuff to be able to share the faith with him. ”
Presented by
Staff professional development from the perspective of two mechanical engineers who drove their lecturers mad insistently asking, “But why?”
‘Why we Believe’; a thoroughly researched exploration into the basis for faith.
